I desire to search for memories and values there in order to repair them

Description:
Most of the goods I bought in the Dawn Market are still uasble and new. The title "Why are they have been here?" is a question, asking for the location of the goods. The goods in the Dwn Market were throw away by people. They have been collected by the Dawn Market street hawkers. In fact, they are still very new and valuabe but they used to be placed on the floor in the Dawn Market. I wonder why they were there! I try to guest about the story behind them as well as to let audience think about whether the goods are rubish or not.

:D
Nume thinks of cardboard as an ecological material with a limited life span, that can be recycled when the children grow and the objects are no longer used. It is also light, easy to transport and simple to fold away for storage.
The white surface allows endless interpretative solutions; it is a pure starting point on which to express ones creativity and imagination, leaving the child with infinite possibilities of activity and interaction.

Title: Wound repairing
Title: Wound repairing in Dawn Market
1. Record sound for how I repair / reproduce the 2nd handed goods
2. To let audience imagine the process of how I repair / reproduce them
3. Show the original look by photos + present look
NO video X
Number of goods:47 (represents the opening time in Dawn Market 4a.m-7a.m)
"Wound repairing" is in present continuous tense. It's because the recording is looping the sound from the reparing action. I'll take photos mainly forcus in parts of the objects. They are "wound" that going to be repaired. Why did people forgive something easily? It is because they exaggerate their defect rather than treasure. I'll present it like a “畫鬼腳”

Add a video??????????
Parts of my HP is about story telling. I think I can use "Stop Motion" to make a video(the technique is easy to handle for me). The theme is about how I repair / re-produce the 2nd handed goods brought from the Dawn Market. So at last all the goods will reborn as audience can see the before and after of them during the show. Here are some reference:

e.g I will let the girl in the 寫真集 wear clothes. To use the words from the "GAG music book" and re-organize them to form new sentences.

Home: Feel free to touch me or re-arrange me

Artist Statement:
The 2nd handed goods in the Dawn Market like orphans living in an orphanage, waiting for their new parents. A home is needed for them to escape from reality and receive parental care. I gather them together to form a new family. Audience are encouraged to touch and re-arrange them. Their exstence become meaningful while the use of their frequency increase.
Process:
1. I will buy the 2nd handed goods from the Dawn Market
2. Clean and repair / re-produce them
3. Give them a re-birth date lable
4. Gather them to form a new family, displays like a home
5. Audience are welcomed to touch and re-arrange them
6. A recording will be played to let audience experience lives in the market
___________________________________________________________
Initially, I decided to display my work like a“格仔舖”, and sell/give them to others after show. However I find that the importance for the 2nd handed goods(or any other things) is to let people realize their existence. They will not mean anything while they are being ignored. In contrast, their exstence become meaningful while the use of their frequency increase.

Everyday in mid-night, the Dawn Market in Tung Chau Street becomes a dynamic "super market". After a few visits, what I can find there?
1. People without home
2. People without love
3. Eyes with hope
4. GOODs
5. Sound
The Dawn Market I visited is located in Tung Chau Street in Sham Shui Po, where it is home for the street-sleepers.I wonder where were their families. The name "street-sleeper" seems to distinguish them from people who live with families. Sometimes, people may treat them as beggars rather than street-sleepers. They will not care their lives and what they wear, because they will not even willing to spend their time to pay close attention to the anonymous person. Do they only have the equal status with the lower-class society?
When I asked people whether they have heard of The Dawn Market. The answer is usually "no". Actually I have heard it before, but I have never imagined that what is it looked like. I tried to understand it through internet before going there. However it is totally different from what I have imagined:
After a few visits in the market I realize that people who are lonely will go there, not only the lower-class people. I met an old lady in the Dawn Market. She brought her cloth from home to the market for selling everyday at 4:00a.m. The sellers in the Dawn Market called her "the wealthy woman" because she lived in luxurious house state with family members and house workers. She was not lacking of money and daily necessaries but family love. I talked with her and she smiled. I believe that she was sick with loneliness. Besides, the Dawn Market is a place for people living / working there to seek for sense of belongings of their life, no matter who they are.
There are variety of goods in the market. They are 2nd handed goods collected by the hawkers there. Most of the people in the Dawn Market, no matter buyers or sellers, are live under poverty. However, they have more or less the same expectation, that is to improve lives within their ability. For people who live with confortable environment and adequate food will not understand their feelings and needs. They rarely wear smile on their face but with hope in their eyes. Although their goods for sell are cheap, the little amount of money within the 3 hours is already able to offer them 3 meals.

How do people value the importance of things? I could find / buy good goods there. They are "good" because they are still valuable to somebody / somewhere. Why did people giveup them easily while they are still usable and new? The only reason that I can think of is the limited living space in Hong Kong physically and the not fulfilled material incentive mentality.
The word "dawn" from a dictionary means "the period in the day when light from the sun begins to appear in the sky". The name comes from the working period of the hawkers there, from almost 4:00a.m to 7:ooa.m. It is because they are afraid of being arrested by the police. The name "Dawn Market" is like having a joke with the people owing their lives there.
I record the sound in the market everytime during the visit. What I hear is the realistic lives of the minority.

On 26th March, I had my 1st visit in the Dawn Market in my birthday. Actually I was afraid that it might be so late for me to start the confirmed idea since I will have to hand in the Honor Project Documentation without half a month. However the experience is so impressive and true to me. I was very delightful that I was accompanied with my families that day.
There is a big contradiction between people living in the globe.

Ligao 27 pcs 積木 $2/each
I expecially went to the Dawn Market on Sunday, the 3rd April,2011. There are more hawkers than Monday to Saturaday. A lot of youngsters went there to experience lives of the people in the Dawn Market.
在互聯網上得到有關天光墟的資信,跟親身到訪有很大分別,原來天光墟的攤檔經已愈來愈少,可能是買的人不多,賣的人也賺得不多,動力自然與日遞減。
I have made some research about the Dawn Market from the internet before going there. However, it is different from experienced it by going there. One of the hawker told me that less people would like to bring their goods for selling, because they found that there are less people go to the Dawn Market nowadays. That's why their motivation to sell goods decrease.
